You’re in pain.
Your future is uncertain.
It’s like you’re living underwater.
Emotions heavy.
Mind cloudy.
Heart frozen.

The absence is so overwhelming that a “new normal” feels impossible. You’re not even sure that you want a “new normal.”
Keeping up with your daily routine is almost unbearable.
It feels like you’ll always be living in the shadow of what you’ve lost.

Hi, I’m Angela

Grief isn’t just something I studied – it’s something I’ve lived. I’ve been widowed twice at age 29 and 49 and became a single mom each time with children staring at me for guidance, support, and love.
I’ve also been a daughter caring for aging parents and watching my mother say goodbye to my sweet daddy after 65 years of being together in a committed and loving relationship.
Three years after my second husband died in a tragic car accident, I watched my sister fall through the holes of grief after her husband died in a sudden hunting accident and saw my sweet family feel the impact of sudden loss ripple through our souls, minds, and hearts.
Grief has been real and close for me. Each of these roles – spouse, mother, daughter, and sister – deepens my understanding of love, loss, and the complexity of family bonds.
I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor with specialized training in grief therapy and trauma. I’ve supported my clients through some of their hardest seasons.
I offer more than expertise; I offer presence, compassion, and the steady belief that healing is possible, even in the midst of profound loss.
Frequently Asked Questions
Grief therapy is focused on helping you process loss in a safe, supportive way. While general therapy may address a wide range of life challenges, grief therapy specifically helps you explore the meaning of your loss, make sense of your emotions, and find ways to carry both love and sorrow forward.
There’s no set timeline for grief. Some people benefit from just a few months of therapy, while others find ongoing support helpful over a longer period. Together, we’ll create a plan that feels right for you and adapts as your needs change.
If you feel weighed down by loss, find it hard to cope with daily life, or want a safe place to explore the complex emotions that come with grief, therapy can help. You don’t need to “qualify” for grief therapy – if you’re hurting, you deserve support.
No. The goal isn’t to erase your grief or forget your loved one. Instead, therapy helps you find ways to honor their memory while still moving forward with your own life, making space for both remembrance and renewal.
I bring both personal and professional experience to this work. As a Licensed Professional Counselor with specialized training in grief therapy, I combine clinical expertise with compassion. My own life experiences as a daughter, mother, sister, and grandmother give me a deep understanding of love, loss, and connection. Clients often say they feel truly seen and supported in our sessions.
