About the event
Have you had a loss in your life that has changed how you see yourself, others, and your very belief in the existence of a life bigger than you? Do you wish that you could again believe in the beauty of life and create a hopeful existence? This 60-minute webinar will focus on how you can experience loss and transition within your personal grief narrative with life, love, and hope again. The story you believe and tell yourself within your grief experience has the potential to develop maladaptive self-referencing talk moving us away from life and seating us in worry, rumination, and self-criticism. During this webinar, there will be clinical examples and contemplative exercises incorporated into this time together where we will have moments to discover parts of your path within a caring community.
C.S. Lewis states in A Grief Observed, "The most painful part of pain and suffering is perhaps its tangled web of confusion and frustration. Grief, like a fog, descends and overtakes one's faculties, becoming the only thing seen and known and felt. Suffering sets up shop in the deepest parts of you, ruining and running all your thoughts. Not only are you consumed with what was lost, but that's all you can seem to ponder. Every thought is driven by sorrow and by the fact that you are sorrowful.
